أعلنت وكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان، تعيين الدكتور عبدالرحيم ملحم رئيساً لوحدة الوكالة في إيطاليا، وذلك في خطوة استراتيجية تهدف إلى تعزيز التغطية الإخبارية الحقوقية وتوسيع رصد انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في القارة الأوروبية.
يأتي هذا التعيين في إطار مساعي الوكالة لتعزيز وجودها الميداني، وضمان تدفق المعلومات الموثوقة حول قضايا الحريات العامة، وحقوق اللاجئين، والعدالة الاجتماعية. وسيعمل الدكتور ملحم على إدارة عمليات الوكالة في إيطاليا، ونقل الصورة الحقيقية للتطورات الحقوقية والسياسية ذات الصلة للمجتمع الدولي.
أجندة عمل استراتيجية
وفي هذا السياق، أكد الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان (IHRC) ومدير الوكالة، أن تعيين الدكتور ملحم يأتي ضمن رؤية أوسع تهدف إلى مواكبة التحولات الرقمية والأمنية.
وأوضح الدكتور بو سعيد في تصريح له: “إننا لا نكتفي اليوم بنقل الخبر الحقوقي فحسب، بل نتوسع في رصد التحديات الناشئة. وسيقوم الدكتور ملحم بمتابعة دقيقة لكافة الخروقات الأمنية والسيبرانية التي قد تمس بخصوصية الأفراد وحقوقهم الأساسية، لضمان مواءمتها مع القوانين والاتفاقيات الدولية النافذة”.

من جانبه، أعرب الدكتور عبدالرحيم ملحم عن اعتزازه بهذه الثقة، مؤكداً استعداده للبدء في تنسيق الجهود مع المنظمات الإقليمية في إيطاليا وأوروبا. وأشار إلى أن وحدة الوكالة ستعمل كمنصة مستقلة لرصد الأزمات وتقديم تحليلات معمقة حول القضايا الاستراتيجية التي تقع ضمن اهتمام المجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان.
