عقدت وكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان مساء أمس اجتماعاً تحضيرياً لمؤتمر كوسوفو الدولي، المزمع عقده في الفترة الممتدة من 1 إلى 3 ديسمبر/كانون الأول 2026، وذلك بمشاركة اللجنة التحضيرية لوسط أوروبا والبلقان.
وشارك في الاجتماع كل من أ. شميث، س. جانسين، م. روسي، و س. أوليفيتا ، حيث جرى البحث في التحضيرات التنظيمية واللوجستية للمؤتمر، إضافة إلى آلية توسيع المشاركة الإقليمية والدولية في أعماله.
واعتبر الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان (IHRC)، المعتمد لدى الأمم المتحدة بصفة خاصة لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي (ECOSOC)، ورئيس بعثته إلى جنيف، الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، أن هذا اللقاء يشكل خطوة أولى ضمن مسار تحضيري أوسع، مشيراً إلى أن العمل سيتوسع خلال المرحلة المقبلة بالتزامن مع تشكيل اللجان التحضيرية في الدول الأخرى التي تنشط فيها الوكالة والمجلس.
وأوضح د. بو سعيد أن الهدف من هذا المسار هو الوصول، وفق آلية تشاركية، إلى انتقاء وتشكيل اللجنة الناظمة النهائية للمؤتمر، بما يضمن تمثيلاً إقليمياً ودولياً متوازناً ويعزز المستوى المؤسساتي للمشاركة في هذا الحدث.
ودعا بو سعيد جميع الفروع والهيئات والوحدات التابعة للوكالة والمجلس، والجهات المعنية ضمن شبكتهما الدولية، إلى التقدم بطلبات المشاركة في حال وجود اهتمام بالمساهمة في هذا النشاط، وذلك عبر البريد الإلكتروني الرسمي الخاص بالوكالة أو المجلس، تمهيداً لدراسة الطلبات وضم الجهات المقبولة إلى المسار التحضيري للمؤتمر.
وأكد أن مؤتمر كوسوفو سيشكل محطة مهمة لتعزيز الحوار الدولي حول حقوق الإنسان والأعمال، وفتح مساحة للتعاون بين المؤسسات الحقوقية والاقتصادية والأكاديمية والجهات الدولية والإقليمية المعنية.
The International News Agency for Human Rights (INHR) held a preparatory meeting yesterday evening for the upcoming Kosovo International Conference, scheduled to take place from 1 to 3 December 2026, with the participation of the Central Europe and Balkans Preparatory Committee.
The meeting was attended by Sarah Jensen, Maria Rossi, Anna Schmidt, and Charles Olivetta, and focused on the organizational and preparatory framework of the conference, as well as mechanisms for expanding regional and international participation.
Dr. Haissam Bou-Said, IHRC High Representative for External Affairs, accredited with the United Nations under ECOSOC Special Consultative Status, and Head of the IHRC Mission to Geneva, stated that the meeting represents an initial step within a broader preparatory process.
He explained that the preparatory work will expand in the coming period, particularly as committees are progressively established in the other countries where the International News Agency for Human Rights and the International Human Rights Council (IHRC) operate.
Dr. Bou-Said noted that the objective of this accelerated process is to establish a broad and representative framework leading to the selection of the final Steering Committee of the Conference, ensuring balanced regional and international representation and strengthening the institutional dimension of the event.
He further invited all branches, bodies, committees and units of INHR and IHRC, as well as relevant entities within their international network, to submit their applications if they are interested in participating in or contributing to this activity.
Interested parties are invited to register through the official email channels of the Agency or the Council, after which applications will be reviewed for inclusion in the preparatory process and, where appropriate, in the conference structures.
Dr. Bou-Said emphasized that the Kosovo International Conference will constitute an important platform for strengthening international dialogue on Human Rights and Businesses, while promoting cooperation among human rights institutions, business and investment communities, academic institutions, and relevant international and regional stakeholders.
