‎ أكد الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان IHRC المعتمد لدى الأمم المتحدة بصفة خاصة إيكوسوك ورئيس بعثتها إلى جنيف الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد أنه بحسب المعلومات عن موقف جمهورية مصر العربية حيال قبول أي تسوية سياسية مع سوريا، والذي يتضمن شرطين أساسيين، يُعدّ حقاً طبيعياً وإنسانياً، ويأتي ضمن الأسباب الجوهرية الكفيلة بحفظ حقوق الشعوب في العيش بكرامة واستقرار.
‎وجاء كلام الدكتور بو سعيد خلال لقاء مع مدير مكتب القاهرة لوكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان محمد طعيمة، حيث أشار إلى أن طرد الأجانب من سوريا وضمان حفظ حقوق الأقليات يُشكّلان المدخل الرئيسي لأي مباحثات أو تسويات سياسية قد تُجرى في المستقبل.
‎وختم الدكتور بو سعيد بالتأكيد على أن الأقليات الموجودة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط تعود بأقدميتها التاريخية إلى ما قبل العديد من المكونات الأخرى، ولها الحق الأساسي في البقاء والحفاظ على وجودها، باعتبارها جزءاً أصيلاً من تاريخ الأرض وهويتها الحضارية.
‎The High Representative for External Affairs of the International Human Rights Council (IHRC), accredited to the United Nations, Dr. Haissam Bou Said, and head of its mission to Geneva, affirmed that, according to information regarding the position of the Arab Republic of Egypt on accepting any political settlement with Syria, which includes two fundamental conditions, this is a natural and human right and falls within the essential reasons for preserving the rights of peoples to live in dignity and stability.

‎Dr. Bou Said’s remarks came during a meeting with Mohamed Ta’ima, Director of the Cairo office of the International Human Rights News Agency, where he indicated that the expulsion of foreigners from Syria and guaranteeing the protection of minority rights constitute the main prerequisite for any future political talks or settlements.

‎Dr. Bou Said concluded by emphasizing that the minorities present in the Middle East region have a historical presence predating many other groups and have the fundamental right to remain and preserve their existence, as they are an integral part of the land’s history and cultural identity.
