The International Human Rights News Agency (INHR) inaugurated its new office in the town of Barsa, Koura District, North Lebanon. The office, dedicated to the Family and Child Unit headed by Dr. Maya Ibrahim, is part of INHR’s strategic plan to expand its media and human rights presence and strengthen its engagement with local communities.
The new office aims to support the agency’s efforts in monitoring and documenting human rights issues, highlighting humanitarian and social initiatives, and raising awareness of women’s, children’s, and family rights. It also seeks to develop partnerships with official and academic institutions and civil society organizations in service of the principles advocated by international conventions.
The opening ceremony was attended by INHR Director Dr. Haitham Bou Said, along with several members of parliament, representatives of ministers, the leadership of the Internal Security Forces, representatives of political parties, mayors and mukhtars, as well as media, human rights, and social figures. In his address, Dr. Haitham Bou Said emphasized that the opening of the office marks a new milestone in the agency’s journey to expand its field presence. This expansion will contribute to reporting events professionally, defending the values of justice and human dignity, and promoting a culture of human rights through responsible media and cooperation with various stakeholders.
Dr. Maya Ibrahim, Head of the Family and Child Unit, also delivered a speech, affirming the unit’s commitment to supporting family, women’s, and children’s issues. She highlighted the unit’s dedication to launching awareness, training, and media initiatives that enhance social protection and the rights of the most vulnerable groups, in coordination with local and international organizations.
The office will serve as a hub for covering activities in northern Lebanon, receiving complaints and human rights initiatives, and coordinating with local institutions.
The opening ceremony concluded with a cocktail reception, providing an opportunity for attendees to exchange views and explore future cooperation in the media, human rights, and humanitarian fields. This collaboration aims to strengthen the agency’s mission of serving humanity and solidifying a culture of human rights.
افتتحت وكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان (INHR) مكتبها الجديد في بلدة برسا – قضاء الكورة، شمال لبنان، والمخصص لهيئة وحدة العائلة والطفلة برئاسة الدكتورة مايا إبراهيم، وذلك في إطار خطتها الاستراتيجية لتوسيع حضورها الإعلامي والحقوقي وتعزيز التواصل مع المجتمعات المحلية.
ويهدف المكتب الجديد إلى دعم جهود الوكالة في رصد وتوثيق قضايا حقوق الإنسان، وإبراز المبادرات الإنسانية والاجتماعية، وتعزيز التوعية بحقوق المرأة والطفل والأسرة، إلى جانب تطوير الشراكات مع المؤسسات الرسمية والأكاديمية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني بما يخدم المبادئ التي تنادي بها المواثيق الدولية.
وشهد حفل الافتتاح حضور مدير وكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، إلى جانب عدد من النواب، وممثلين عن الوزراء، وقيادة قوى الأمن الداخلي، وممثلين عن الأحزاب السياسية، ورؤساء البلديات والمخاتير، إضافة إلى شخصيات إعلامية وحقوقية واجتماعية.
وأكد الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، في كلمته، أن افتتاح المكتب يشكل محطة جديدة في مسيرة الوكالة نحو توسيع حضورها الميداني، بما يساهم في نقل الوقائع بمهنية، والدفاع عن قيم العدالة والكرامة الإنسانية، وتعزيز ثقافة حقوق الإنسان من خلال الإعلام المسؤول والتعاون مع مختلف الجهات المعنية.
كما ألقت رئيسة وحدة العائلة والطفلة الدكتورة مايا إبراهيم كلمة أكدت فيها التزام الوحدة بالعمل على دعم قضايا الأسرة والمرأة والطفل، وإطلاق مبادرات توعوية وتدريبية وإعلامية تعزز الحماية الاجتماعية وحقوق الفئات الأكثر احتياجاً، بالتنسيق مع المؤسسات المحلية والدولية.
أن المكتب سيكون مركزًا لتغطية أنشطة شمال لبنان واستقبال الشكاوى والمبادرات الحقوقية والتنسيق مع المؤسسات المحلية.
واختُتمت مراسم الافتتاح بحفل كوكتيل جمع الحضور، وشكل مناسبة لتبادل الآراء وبحث آفاق التعاون المستقبلي في المجالات الإعلامية والحقوقية والإنسانية، بما يعزز رسالة الوكالة في خدمة الإنسان وترسيخ ثقافة حقوق الإنسان.
L’Agence internationale de presse pour les droits humains (INHR) a inauguré son nouveau bureau à Barsa, dans le district de Koura, au Liban-Nord. Ce bureau, dédié à l’Unité Famille et Enfance dirigée par la Dre Maya Ibrahim, s’inscrit dans le cadre du plan stratégique de l’INHR visant à renforcer sa présence médiatique et son action en matière de droits humains, ainsi qu’à consolider son engagement auprès des communautés locales.
Ce nouveau bureau a pour objectif d’appuyer les efforts de l’agence en matière de suivi et de documentation des violations des droits humains, de mise en lumière des initiatives humanitaires et sociales, et de sensibilisation aux droits des femmes, des enfants et des familles. Il ambitionne également de développer des partenariats avec les institutions officielles et universitaires et les organisations de la société civile, au service des principes énoncés dans les conventions internationales.
Le directeur de l’INHR, le Dr Haitham Bou Said, a assisté à la cérémonie d’ouverture, en présence de plusieurs parlementaires, de représentants ministériels, de la direction des Forces de sécurité intérieure, de représentants de partis politiques, de maires et de mukhtars, ainsi que de personnalités des médias, des droits humains et du monde social. Dans son discours, le Dr Haitham Bou Said a souligné que l’ouverture de ce bureau marque une nouvelle étape importante dans le développement de la présence de l’agence sur le terrain. Ce développement permettra de couvrir l’actualité de manière professionnelle, de défendre les valeurs de justice et de dignité humaine et de promouvoir une culture des droits humains grâce à des médias responsables et à la coopération avec divers acteurs.
La Dre Maya Ibrahim, cheffe de l’Unité Famille et Enfance, a également pris la parole, réaffirmant l’engagement de l’unité en faveur des familles, des femmes et des enfants. Elle a mis en lumière la volonté de l’unité de lancer des initiatives de sensibilisation, de formation et de communication visant à renforcer la protection sociale et les droits des groupes les plus vulnérables, en coordination avec les organisations locales et internationales.
Ce bureau servira de plateforme pour la couverture des activités dans le nord du Liban, la réception des plaintes et des initiatives relatives aux droits humains, ainsi que pour la coordination avec les institutions locales.
La cérémonie d’ouverture s’est conclue par un cocktail, offrant aux participants l’occasion d’échanger et d’explorer les perspectives de coopération future dans les domaines des médias, des droits humains et de l’aide humanitaire. Cette collaboration vise à renforcer la mission de l’agence, qui est de servir l’humanité, et à consolider une culture des droits de l’homme.
