Dr. Bou-Said: Syria’s Interim Authority Not Serious About Abandoning Takfiri Jihadist Ideology — Syrian Future at Risk
د. بو سعيد: الإدارة المؤقتة في سوريا غير جادّة بالتخلي عن الفكر الجهادي التكفيري وتعرّض مستقبل السوريين للخطر
رأى الممثل الأعلى للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان، المعتمد بصفة خاصة لدى الأمم المتحدة (إيكوسوك) ورئيس بعثتها إلى جنيف، الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، أن الإدارة المؤقتة في سوريا لا تبدي جدية حقيقية في التخلي عن الفكر الجهادي التكفيري الذي أتى بدمار واسع للمنطقة.
وأضاف الدكتور بو سعيد أن التمسك الظاهري بالدين لتبرير أشد أنواع القتل ضد الإنسانية يعرض مستقبل الشعب السوري للخطر ويقود إلى مزيد من التشرذم والمعاناة، لافتًا إلى أن كل المحافل والمؤتمرات التي تعقدها الإدارة مؤخرًا لطمس هذه الحقائق قد تكون صيغًا إعلامية كاذبة ستنكشف مع مرور الوقت.
وختم الدكتور بو سعيد بالتحذير من أن ثمن هذه السياسات ستدفعه الشعوب — وعلى رأسها الشعب السوري — جراء استمرار غياب الموقف الصادق من التطرف والعنف، داعيًا المجتمع الدولي ومنظمات حقوق الإنسان إلى مراقبة الأوضاع واتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات لحماية المواطنين ومنع تفاقم الانتهاكات.
Dr. Haissam Bou-Said, High Representative of the International Human Rights Council, accredited in a special capacity to the United Nations (ECOSOC) and Head of its Mission to Geneva, stated that Syria’s interim authority has not shown genuine seriousness in abandoning the takfiri jihadist ideology that has devastated the Middle East.
Dr. Bou-Said warned that the superficial invocation of religion to justify the gravest forms of violence against humanity endangers the future of the Syrian people and will lead to further fragmentation and suffering. He noted that recent conferences and public relations efforts by the interim authority risk being mere public relations exercises that will be exposed over time.
He concluded by cautioning that the people will inevitably bear the heavy price of such policies, calling on the international community and human rights organizations to closely monitor developments and take the necessary measures to protect civilians and curb the escalation of abuses.
