Dr. Bou-Said Urges Damascus to Uphold International Commitments and Implement Agreed Measures Without Delay
بو سعيد يدعو دمشق إلى الالتزام الفوري بتعهداتها الدولية دون أي تأخير

دعا الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية في المجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان، والمعتمد لدى الأمم المتحدة بصفة خاصة (إيكوسوك) ورئيس بعثة المجلس إلى جنيف، الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد، السلطات السورية إلى التنفيذ الكامل والفوري للالتزامات الدولية التي وقّعت عليها مؤخراً، محذراً من أن أي تلكؤ سيقوّض الضمانات الدولية المقدمة لسوريا.

وفي تصريح حازم، قال الدكتور بو سعيد:
“إن أي إخلال بتنفيذ هذه الالتزامات سيقوّض مجمل الضمانات الدولية تجاه سوريا، وستكون نتائجه خطيرة وغير إنسانية، وستتحمل دمشق كامل المسؤولية عنها.”
وأكد أن المجتمع الدولي ينتظر خطوات عملية وملموسة، وليس إجراءات رمزية أو وعوداً غير قابلة للقياس.
دعوة إلى تحرك عاجل ومسؤول
وحث الدكتور بو سعيد السلطات السورية على احترام تعهداتها وفق القانون الدولي، والتعاون الكامل مع الآليات الأممية لضمان الشفافية والمساءلة.
وختم المجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان بيانه بالتأكيد على استعداده لرصد الوضع، وتوثيق الانتهاكات، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى حماية حقوق الإنسان وتعزيز الاستقرار في المنطقة.
The High Representative for External Affairs of the International Human Rights Council, specially accredited to the United Nations (ECOSOC) and Head of its Mission to Geneva, Dr. Haissam Bou-Said, expressed his hope that the authorities in Damascus will fully adhere to the international agreements and the five core commitments recently undertaken, stressing the importance of their swift and effective implementation in line with international expectations.
Dr. Bou-Said emphasized that these commitments represent essential pillars for restoring stability and meeting the obligations owed to the international community.
Dr. Bou-Said further warned that any failure or breach in implementing these commitments on the ground would undermine existing international guarantees toward Syria, noting that the repercussions would be severe, destabilizing, and inhumane, and that Damascus would bear full responsibility for the consequences.
He concluded by urging all relevant authorities to act responsibly and in accordance with international law, reaffirming the Council’s readiness to monitor, report, and support all efforts aimed at ensuring human rights and long-term stability.
