In an interview with the International News Agency for Human Rights (INHR), its Director, Dr. Haissam Bou-Said, stated that Syria is moving forward with the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254, with proposed amendments related to forms of local autonomies within the framework of national unity.
Dr. Bou-Said explained that the interim authorities in Damascus are aware of the necessity of adhering to these commitments, emphasizing that the proper implementation of the resolution would contribute significantly to restoring stability and advancing a comprehensive political solution.
He further warned that failure to fulfill these obligations could leave the situation open to unpredictable developments and heightened instability, at both the domestic and regional levels.
في مقابلة مع الوكالة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان (INHR)، كشف مديرها الدكتور هيثم بو سعيد أن سوريا تمضي قدماً نحو تنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن ٢٢٥٤، مع طرح بعض التعديلات المرتبطة بأشكال من الإدارة أو الحكم الذاتي المحلي ضمن إطار وحدة الدولة وسيادتها.
وأوضح الدكتور بو سعيد أن السلطات الانتقالية في دمشق تدرك ضرورة الالتزام بهذه الاستحقاقات، مؤكداً أن التنفيذ السليم لمضامين القرار من شأنه أن يسهم في استعادة الاستقرار ودفع مسار الحل السياسي الشامل إلى الأمام.
وحذّر من أن أي إخفاق في الوفاء بهذه الالتزامات قد يُبقي الوضع مفتوحاً على مختلف الاحتمالات، بما يحمله ذلك من تداعيات داخلية وإقليمية.
