‎رأى الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان IHRC المعتمد لدى الأمم المتحدة بصفة خاصة إيكوسوك ورئيس بعثتها إلى جنيف هيثم بو سعيد أن الخطاب السائد اليوم في سوريا هو هدّام لكل مكونات العيش المشترك، ويشكّل خطراً على التواصل الاجتماعي الذي يقوم به مسؤولو الإدارة المؤقتة وبعض رجال الدين المحسوبين على السلطة.
‎واعتبر د. بو سعيد أنه لا يمكن الاستمرار بهذا النهج على المستوى الاجتماعي، الأمر الذي يتطلب وقتاً لإعادة بناء الثقة بين مكوّنات المجتمع السوري، خصوصاً في ظل المجازر والانتهاكات التي طالت مختلف المكوّنات، بحسب تعبيره، من قبل الإدارة الجديدة.
‎وتمنى بو سعيد على المجتمع الدولي وضع حدّ ورؤية واضحة لهذا الوضع الشاذ في سوريا، عبر حلول جذرية تضمن استقلالية كل مكوّن ووجوده، من دون أن يُمارس عليه أي ضغط من أي جهة أو على أي مستوى.
‎Haissam Bou-Said, High Representative for External Affairs of the International Human Rights Council (IHRC), accredited to the United Nations under ECOSOC special consultative status and Head of its Mission in Geneva, stated that the prevailing discourse in Syria today is destructive to all components of coexistence and poses a threat to social cohesion, particularly through the rhetoric promoted by officials of the interim administration and certain religious figures affiliated with the authority.
‎Dr. Bou-Said considered that such an approach cannot continue on the social level, stressing that rebuilding trust among Syrian communities will require considerable time, especially in light of the massacres and violations that have affected various components of society, according to his statement, by the new administration.
‎He called on the international community to establish clear limits and a comprehensive vision to address this abnormal situation in Syria, through fundamental solutions that guarantee the independence and existence of every component without being subjected to pressure from any party or at any level.
