”أسعد” و “عبّود” دانا الاعتداء على حرمة مقابر الروم الأرثوذكس في القبة : ليتحمل الجميع مسؤولياته
MPs Jamil Abboud and Adib Asaad condemned the desecration of the Greek Orthodox cemetery in Qubba, calling on everyone to bear their responsibilities.
استنكر النائب جميل عبّود مع عضو وكالة الأنباء الدولية لحقوق الإنسان أديب أسعد الاعتداء على حرمة “مقابر الروم الأرثوذكس في القبة” وتعرض الصلبان للتكسير ، بعد الزيارة التفقدية التي قام بها برفقة الآباء ابراهيم سروج والاب ابراهيم دربلي ومدير ثانوية الروم الاستاذ ايلي بيطار ورئيس جمعية القديس جاورجيوس المشرفة على المقابر الاستاذ فادي حلبي .
وتحدث عقب الجولة الاب ابراهيم سروج “
نحن نشكر الله أولاً وأخيراً على كل ما حدث. وأمرٌ ثانٍ هو أننا نؤكد محبتنا وأخوتنا لإخوتنا المسلمين. منذ زمنٍ بعيد، نحن وإياهم رفاق درب وحياة مشتركة”
وبدوره اعتبر النّائب عبّود أن هذا الاعتداء الجبان على حرمة المقابر وتخريبها يُعد سلوكاً مجرداً من القيم الإنسانية، والأخلاقية، والدينية
وشدّد على أن التصدي لهذه الجرائم يتطلب تحمل الجميع لمسؤولياته و تحركا فورياً وحازماً من الأجهزة الأمنية والقضائية لكشف الفاعلين، وتطبيق أشد العقوبات بحقهم .
بالتوازي مع رفع الوعي المجتمعي بأهمية صون كرامة الأموات وحماية المقدسات
لسدّ الطريق أمام المصطادين في الماء العكر ومثيري الفتن الطائفية بما يضمن عدم تكرار مثل هذه الحوادث .
وأكّد عبّود وأسعد أن هذه التصرفات الهمجية لا تمثل ثقافة وأخلاق اهالي طرابلس الأصيلين .
وختم إن مدينة طرابلس مدينة المحبة والسلام والعيش المشترك كانت وستبقى عصيةً على محاولات زرع الانشقاق والفتنة بين أبناء المدينة الواحدة .
MP Jamil Abboud, along with Adib Asaad, a member of the International News Agency for Human Rights, condemned the desecration of the Greek Orthodox cemetery in Qubba and the destruction of its crosses. This condemnation followed an inspection visit to the cemetery, which they conducted with Fathers Ibrahim Sarouj and Ibrahim Darbali, the principal of the Greek Orthodox High School, Mr. Elie Bitar, and Mr. Fadi Halabi, head of the St. George Association, which oversees the cemetery.
MP Asaad and Adib Asaad called on everyone to bear their responsibilities. Following the tour, Father Ibrahim Sarouj said, “We thank God first and foremost for everything that has happened. Secondly, we reaffirm our love and brotherhood with our Muslim brothers. For a long time, we have been companions on the path of life and shared a common existence.”
For his part, MP Abboud considered this cowardly attack on the sanctity of cemeteries and their desecration to be an act devoid of human, moral, and religious values. He stressed that confronting these crimes requires everyone to bear their responsibilities and for immediate and decisive action from the security and judicial authorities to uncover the perpetrators and apply the severest penalties against them.
This must be done in parallel with raising community awareness of the importance of preserving the dignity of the dead and protecting holy sites, in order to block those who exploit such situations and incite sectarian strife, thus ensuring that such incidents are not repeated.
Abboud and Asaad emphasized that these barbaric acts do not represent the culture and morals of the genuine people of Tripoli. He concluded by saying that Tripoli, a city of love, peace, and coexistence, has always been and will remain resilient against attempts to sow discord and strife among its people.
