Today I met with H.E. Mr. Jérôme Bonnafont, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations, in his capacity as the incoming President of the UN Security Council for September 2026. We discussed the programme of work for France’s Presidency of the Security Council in September, and strengthening the cooperation between the Security Council and the General Assembly, including on the SG selection process.
