UNHR News oat the International Day against Nuclear Test

Nearly 70 years after nuclear testing ended in the Marshall Islands, communities are still living with its consequences.

The impacts have lasted generations, affecting people’s human rights – life, health, culture, environment and so much more – a stark illustration of the need to end nuclear weapons testing.

UN Human Rights is working with the Marshall Islands and Marshallese communities to help document these impacts, strengthen access to truth and information, and support their pursuit of justice, reparations and environmental remediation.

We stand alongside the Marshall Islands and Marshallese communities in their pursuit of a more just and sustainable future.
